When in doubt, throw it out! SCAM Companies

As requested here are some helpful articles copied from the internet of some companies allegedly scamming those fresh graduates and job seekers. They pretend to be a legitimate company and provides make believe call center job descriptions with "EASY PROCESS" but they are not as sweet as it's cracked up to be so beware!

If you received a random text to anyone asking you to go to an office with a company name not so famous or never heard better immediately verify the authenticity of said advertiser through our Customer Service Hotline 914-8000 loc. 804 or through the local offices of DOLE and POEA.

If you are a victim of a scam and you don't have the luxury of time to go to any DOLE or POEA offices you can send your reports or complaints to www.reklamo.ph and be heard by public agencies and the media.

JobsDB recommends:

Verify before you trust. Always keep the following safety tips in entertaining online job offers:

Do NOT use any contact information in the job posting. Apply through the Apply Now function of jobsDB, this ensures that they have a record of your application and can help you set up the necessary security measures you need against scammers;

If in doubt about the website, use http://www.domainwhitepages.com/ which will show you the domain registration record including the domain’s owner; the contact information for the website – email, address, and phone number. And if the domain registration is “private” with the real ownership details unavailable, proceed with caution;

Exercise caution whenever a recruiter asks you for payment in exchange for employment, even if said payment will supposedly be used for processing documents or completing  training courses;

Immediately verify the authenticity of said advertiser through our Customer Service Hotline 914-8000 loc. 804 or through the local offices of DOLE and POEA;

Never give out personal information. Prior to a legitimate job interview, do not send via the internet sensitive information such as your SSS number, TIN, bank account and credit card numbers, username and password to a so-called employer – or to anyone for that matter

So enough of this blabbering. Indicated below are the articles and the website that indicates the full story.

Scam companies according to: http://scamtodayexpose.blogspot.com/2012/05/beware-please-repost.html

BEWARE! (please repost)
ATTENTION: Beware of this MODUS located in cubao and ortigas. These companies are recruiting people from different sites and newspaper ads promising them a good job, but they will not hire you unless you pay 500.00 pesos(for Accredation Fee). What the hell?! You're looking for decent job, right? Why do I have to pay 500? That's not all..after you've paid that you will be attending their orientation, after that they will tell you to comeback the next day(mon-sat), but here comes the 'shocker'..now that you've comeback that means you're interested, right? This time you'll be having a 'dental service' that's worth 1,500.00 pesos. HOLY CRAP!! I blogged this to promote awareness to everyone and to alert our government about this. I'm not saying that every company that goes with the similar system is illegal, well some are doing it legally. You just need to check their license and registration, such as Barangay Permit,Business Permit, DTI and BIR Licenses.

THESE ARE THE  2 COMPANIES I'M TALKING ABOUT:

1)       Benne Ssere International Incorporated
-Suite 1001 10th floor, West Tower, Philippine Stock Exchange(Tektite),
San Miguel Ave. Ortigas, Pasig City

2)       Relativity Interactive Marketing
-Unit 406 4th floor, Hansel Arcade Building, #70 Imperial st.
corner Aurora blvd., Cubao, Quezon City

Companies to avoid according to, http://www.answers.com/Q/Is_mct_trading_in_ortigas_legal

17th floor unit 1706 centerpoint building garnet road corner julia vargas ave. Ortigas center pasig city is one of the nesting place of the scam company medceetect , fcmsi, mct trading, infiniteam enterprise. Most of their victims are applicants of different positions such as data encoder, office personnel office staff office clerk, account supervisor. They promise different positions but usually you'll end up as an account supervisor but if your lucky enough to have other position sad to say you'll have the same reponsibilities like the others...you'll end up as a refferal agent in their networking scam company beware for their urgent hiring posting mass hiring or immediate hiring....be smart dont be a victim

I re searched their company, their process is you'll be interviewed and you'll end up being signed up to work for a networking company selling their products independently, you'll also need to shell out P500 to start working for them. a lot of people are reporting them as scam, but they are reasoning out that when you apply for a job you'll need to shell out expenses for your requirements too such as NBI, medical xray and drug testing. and they point out that people really actually earns from their company.

This is alarming as well, http://www.reklamo.ph/prolific-health-options-and-trading-inc-3/

Prolific Health Options and Trading Inc

Name: John
Case Type: Business / Company
Date Published: 05/06/2015
Complaint Details:
ay interview ako that time sa isang company and i was 1 hour early kaya nag lakad lakad muna ako para malibang.

Ang una kong naisio as a freshgrad is wow, ang galing naman, opportunity to. Naglalakad lang ako tapos ganon may nag offer sakin.

BUT.. tuloy tuloy sya sa pagsasalita kaya dun ako nagkaron ng doubt habang naglalakad kami.

THEN NAGTANONG AKO. BAGO AKO MAG TRY.
Q: Saan po yung office nyo?
A: Jan lang sa PHILIPPINE STOCK EXCHANGE

(So i think na katiwa-tiwala yung lugar ng office nila.

A: Uhm. Sa FRD ako. Front Runners Division.

(so wala pala lusot yung dahilan ko.

CROWDED.
PARANG PALENGKE SA INGAY.
MAGULO.
WALANG PROPER ATTIRE.

Then, napaisip ako. ANO BA YUNG COMPANY NA ‘TO? So nung pag pasok ng office, Nagtanong ulit ako.
Q: Mga gaano katagal po ba to? May appointment pa po kasi ako in 30 mins.
A: mga 10-15 minutes lang naman. Mag fill up ka muna.

INITIAL INTERVIEW, Hindi formal.
Tagalog. After nun, ready na daw ako for next interview.

2nd INTERVIEW.
Bumalik yung unang nasa table kanina and sya nag explain sa akin.

Yes, I am a fresh graduate. Degree course. Madami na akong interviews na napag daanan.

TAPOS TATANUNGIN NILA AKO KUNG MAY 500 na daw ba ako. Then i said wala po akong dala.

Then dahil dun papauwiin ako?

Haha! Grabe

Then that’s it.

MAY MALI TALAGA.

And, nabasa ko yung blog na to.

Salamat sayo.

HINDI NYO IKA-UUNLAD ANG PANLOLOKO. YAN PA ANG MAS MAKAKAPAGPABABA SA SARILI NYO BILANG TAO.

Beware: 15 flr Octagon Building San Miguel, Ortigas Pasig City

May 25, 2009 · By admin · 1,074 Comments
The phone rings…. I answered the phone and I heard a male voice asking if he can speak to my niece (he stated the complete name) . Thinking it was a very important call from her University, I immediately called my niece.Minutes later, my niece who looks puzzled at that time relayed to me about who called and what they have talked about.
She told me that a certain RUSTAN MANALAD from the US Biotechnology firm located at the 15 flr Octagon Building San Miguel, Ortigas Pasig City was looking for 2-3 young professionals to help manage their business (sounds doubtful already!!).
She was asked to exchanged cellphone nos. (she gave different no.), wear business attire and go to that address in Pasig on a certain date so that they can talk about the business in details. My niece was asking more questions but the caller told it was only a 3min call.
Right after that, I told her I sense that there is something fishy here bec. since other details are not given. She was kinda baffled because the caller knows her number, her high school details and other stuff.
We immediately researched the said company but nothing appeared so we are assured that it doesn’t exist. We then researched for the 15 flr Octagon Building San Miguel, Ortigas Pasig City and oh gosh there are lots results that appeared. It was actually the address of a different company. Poor thing they are using that address.
We read that they were asked to sell something or do some pyramiding schemes. Crap, good thing is that my niece didn’t go there plus we’ll never allow her to go there.

Acing that Versant Exam

Versant Exam is a standard test to gauge your listening and language skills. Usually they use an Avaya phone and they let you dial a number; a voice prompt then answers and asks you to do the following – reading, answering and creating your own story. This is an easy examination if you know what to do and your confidence is not clouded with nervousness. This sometimes hinder if not most, some applicants not to get their most awaited job contract. Different Types of BPO / Call Center Referral Program

In this modern age, the call center industry has boomed tremendously - cropping up in Metro Manila to Cebu, Baguio and all over the country. This, in turn, creates more jobs, generates more revenue to the surrounding business (food, transportation, goods, clothing stores, bars, shops, etc.) and provided more tax revenue to the government that fueled most of the funding for public entities’ program in constructing roads, schools and hospitals. And because of the booming BPO/RPO/KPO industry - call centers are mushrooming and created a shortage of CSRs and TSRs or shall we say they're having a hard time looking for fit candidates with good communication skills equipped with the basic knowledge of English Language – pronunciation, enunciation, diction and tone. This made them formulate recruitment ties, employee referral programs and other incentives when you get someone interested to apply to a company. This benefits not only the company, but also other people like the emplo
