Scam Alert: An Update

I am writing this again to update people from Call Center Philippines FB groups of some companies I’ve seen online that are considered and reported scam by people who applied to those before. It is better for us to prevent such companies so that our money, time and energy will not be wasted. It is just alarming that instead of these companies being eradicated since this generation has an easy access to information provided that most of us have an access to the internet. I guess some people are still lazy to check first the history or background of the company before they apply.

Again, checking the information of the company does not only save you from the question, “Why did you apply here?”, but it also safeguards you from being a victim of a scam scheme. Some scam companies will get monies from you and even if it is just Php 500.00, still it is your or your parents’ hard earned money so be vigilant. Always ask other people from the group or better yet do some research since I can only name a few for now. Feel free to comment on this post if you know other companies that are misleading and scamming applicants.

So here you go guys!

- BENNE SERRE INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION OR (B.S.I)
Location: TEKTITE BDNG, PHIL. STOCK EXCHANGE, ORTIGAS PASIG CITY.

- MSM Services
Location: 7th floor, Rm. 717 CITY LAND SHAW TOWER (near SM Megamall and MRT Shaw blvd. station, back of Shangrila Plaza mall) Mandaluyong city

- MEDCEETECT (OPTIMA FUTURANCE CONSULTANTS)

- Global Travel Services

- USG Info-systems" (not to be confused with USG Corp)

So these are some of the companies we have as of the moment that are lurking over the internet, allegedly being reported to get monies from applicants or let them sell something hard to market . Maybe that is their marketing strategy but the only thing that makes this as a scam is that they are letting people sell something before they get employed which is quite bad because they need first to set the expectations of the applicant. I even read that one applicant was advised to just purchase the item so he will be employed on that company. If the openings are legitimate then they should hire the individuals first and let them sell something after they extend the job offer - avoiding the word coercion. Some companies charge also for processing their application. If you will have the same scenario, don’t immediately give your hard-earned money – think and rethink.

To make sure that those companies that you are applying are legitimate please go to this link: http://www.sec.gov.ph/onlinetransactions/search.html

Sec registration means that these companies are registered and if something happens we can just easily complain them to NLC (National Labor Commission).
You can also check DTI's website if those businesses are registered. You can check it by accessing this link: http://www.bnrs.dti.gov.ph/web/guest/search

And again, if they are DTI registered, it doesn’t mean that they will surely do you good. Better still to search first the web about the company background to safeguard your money, effort, time and interest. The good thing is that we can report them immediately if you are victimized by those companies registered.

If you are in that scenario of being pushed to shed some money or to sell something to be employed. Say NO! We have a lot of job openings for you in the Call Center Group so it is not your waste to turn them down. Leave the building and find a better company with a sound reputation - just a tip!

Different Types of BPO / Call Center Referral Program

In this modern age, the call center industry has boomed tremendously - cropping up in Metro Manila to Cebu, Baguio and all over the country. This, in turn, creates more jobs, generates more revenue to the surrounding business (food, transportation, goods, clothing stores, bars, shops, etc.) and provided more tax revenue to the government that fueled most of the funding for public entities’ program in constructing roads, schools and hospitals. And because of the booming BPO/RPO/KPO industry - call centers are mushrooming and created a shortage of CSRs and TSRs or shall we say they're having a hard time looking for fit candidates with good communication skills equipped with the basic knowledge of English Language – pronunciation, enunciation, diction and tone. This made them formulate recruitment ties, employee referral programs and other incentives when you get someone interested to apply to a company. This benefits not only the company, but also other people like the emplo
