The good thing about being in a BPO/Call Center company is
that, they have programs that help their agents/employees financially when
they decided to go back to college. Since most of the BPO employees as well are
getting 13K base minimum, even without that support, they can easily enroll in State Universities and finance their own education.
The real major dilemma is not really the finances since as
what I’ve said earlier, most Call Centers offer great pay and education
assistance to their employees. The main hindrance for them to get that undergraduate
course is really the time needed to be spent in school to finish their course
(commute, time spent every day for schooling, and also if they will still be
alive and have the energy to go to work).
Good news! To address this, most of the top universities
here in the Philippines have improvised their learning opportunities to meet
the demands of this medium-class workers who haven’t had the opportunity to go
to tertiary education.
You can see below some information and the website of the
Universities that offers such programs to cater the needs of these modern day
heroes. These programs vary but most of them just needs you to report to school
once a week (distance learning – modular).

Rest assured that I have considered other aspects of our lives while doing this
article - responsibilities at home, the time spent working, tardiness at work,
how many hours we need to take a rest per day, the cost of the education and
lastly, the quality of education you will be getting.
So who says that you need to be burdened financially and sacrifice
your career while earning that degree you wanted? I will quote a Filipino adage
we usually use when dealing with the pros and cons, “Kung gusto mo may paraan, kung
ayaw mo maraming dahilan”. Need I say more?
